FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. Wuxi Diesel Engine Factory (hereinafter referred to as "FAW Jiefangxi Diesel") is China's oldest existing engine company. The factory was established in 1943. After liberation, it became the backbone enterprise of the New China Agricultural Machinery Industry. In 1992, it joined China FAW Group Corporation. Since 2003, it has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. The factory has persisted in arduous pioneering and independent innovation and has experienced three pioneering stages.
